1.8.0 flashed and working, question about versions

thanks for advice folk, i finaly upgraded my firmware in Xi-626 from 1.7.4
to 1.8.0
primary is 1.1.1

i found this page
http://linux.junsun.net/intersil-prism/firmware/1.7.4/
there are some firmwares and a lot of chars infront of version of firmware
like af0xxxx
ak0xxxxx

what are diferents between them what about STA
i found a lot of STA with some chars as well, but when i went trough
how-to-flash i didnt find anything regarding that
