hostap not recognizing DWL-520 rev. E

If you are using an RPM (or any binary kernel module) then it has to match
the kernel you are using. Judging from the extensive number of unresolved
symbols you have it looks like this could be your problem. It is better to
build kernel modules from their source code, especially if you have upgraded
your kernel or built a custom one.

As far as using the DWL-520 rev. E, there has been extensive discussion of
this on this list. See the archives for more information. Something that you
should take into consideration when looking through these is that the
DWL-650 rev. P is the PCMCIA cousin of this card and some of what is said
about that card is applicable to here as well.

I have this card, and I have written a web page detailing what I did to get
it on line. It is not technically "released", which basically means I can't
vouch 100 percent for everything it says yet. See here:

script it talks about is done but not tested, so it's not online.
