Authentication when a router in between

Hello ,
I have plan to separate out 802.1x authenticator part from HostAP and use it
in a
wired lan switch .I have access and can work with the source code of the
switch.

Can HostAP 802.1x authenticator , authenticate the wireless users in the
following
configuration?ie, when the data has to passthrough a Hotspot router  which
provides
wireless to wired interface?

Wireless PC1)))
Wireless PC2)))-(wireless)HotSpotRouter(wired)--Switch(wiredAuth.)-Radius
Wireless PC3)))
