Hostapd - MD5 with WEP

Am using Hostapd (hostap-0.0.3) on our wireless embedded product for implementing 
IEEE 802.1x EAP-MD5, EAP-MD5 with 64-bit WEP and EAP-MD5 with 128 -bit WEP.
Am using WinXP as my client.

I could successfully test the EAP-MD5 feature without WEP. However, EAP-MD5 with 
64-bit WEP and EAP-MD5 with 128 -bit WEP are not working. It seems to me 
that EAP-MD5 with WEP is implemented in hostapd source code. Correct me if am 
wrong here.

Is there any way to solve this problem?
