What do you mean with "IP comes up"? Before setting the net device up
(e.g., with 'ifconfig wlan3 up')?

What do you mean by losing wlan3wds0? Is the net device unregistered? Is
it visible in /proc/net/dev or 'ifconfig -a' output? Do you see any
related messages 'dmesg' output?
I did not fully understand your explanation of the problem. Could you
please give a complete set of commands that is needed to reproduce the
error (including ifconfig or whatever is used to set the devices up)?
