Hostapd

hello to everybody,
    
       I have some questions in my mind related to hostapd.Hostapd dameon is 
used in user space.So how it interacts with kernrl driver.

       I have gone through the hostapd source code.In this source code there 
is entry point taht is main is defiend.

     But the kernel drive is also is running when hostapd is running.that's 
right?does this mean that hostapd handles all the receiving packets?

     Also can anybody tell me @ what happpens when access-accept msg come 
from RADIUS server to hostap?
