strange behavior in monitor mode of hostap?

 Hello, everyone.
 
I captured some packets of 802.11b and saw a strange result in ethereal.
 
I set up 2 hostap in master mode, #1 channel and #4 channel, and one
hostap in monitor mode, which captures #1 channel. 
 
I expected to see only #1 channel packets but, ethereal showed up #1
channel and #4 channel packets.
 
Is that possible?? 
 
PS : I tested hostpap-2002-10-24 and recent hostap driver. Both are
same.
