wds not linking

I have two hostap's running on debian next to each other, Host A 
and Host B.

hostap and wlan0 is up on both machines.

On issuing:

prism2_param wlan0 other_ap_policy 2
prism2_param wlan0 autom_ap_wds 1

Host A finds Host B mac and shows up in  /proc/net/hostap/wlan0/wds

Host B does not find host A for wds. 
'iwlist wlan0 ap' shows the host A mac

'iwpriv wlan0 wds_add <remote MAC>' set wds ecplicitly.

But the prism2_param setting don't seem to be taking on Host B.

What should I look at?
