wds speed issues

Does this fix the rate at 11M?

I want it to auto-negotiate the rate so that it can go down during bad
weather.

 

I got an error when I tried txrate:

/>iwconfig wlan0wds0 txrate 11M

Error : unrecognised wireless request "txrate"

 

I also noticed that the default setting for basic_rates is 3 but the one
for oper_rates is 15.

 

I just tried changing basic_rates to 15 in both boxes but it did not
change the link speed. Do I need to reset the link somehow for this
change to take effect? How would I do that?
