wlan0 transmit timeout?

Kernel 2.4.21-rc2, Toshiba 6100, SMC 2632W pccard.
Built in hostap with kernel patch-dmesg say's:

ability to 'ping' myself(box ip) but not any other box including the gw
box, mode is Ad-Hoc or Mansged nothing works here:(
