irq problems

hi guys
my computer wont allocate an irq to the sparklan prism based card i have in the system. 
it doesnt show up in /proc/pci or /proc/irq, and at startup the kernel reports it cant find an irq for the device. pci=biosirq doesnt help either

it works in other computers fine. modprob'ing hostap_pci denies the existance of any cards
is their a way i can manually assign the card an irq?
