On this site you can download fw 1.4.9:
http://www.netgate.com/support/prism_firmware/

This is not the latest fw but it fixes some bugs and it lets use fw based
WEP when in master mode.

download 1.4.9.zip and use file RF010409.HEX to download fw in ram.
First of all check if the fw you have is ok for your NIC by means of:
# utils/prism2_srec wlan0 RF010409.HEX

then, if it is OK, download the fw in ram:
# utils/prism2_srec -r wlan0 RF010409.HEX

To enable fw download you have to compile HostAP with
PRISM2_DOWNLOAD_SUPPORT:
decomment the following line in hostap_config.h:
#define PRISM2_DOWNLOAD_SUPPORT
