iwpriv help

Hello all,

I am getting the following error while trying to use "iwpriv"

# iwpriv wlan0 addmac 00:90:4b:2e:f1:c9
Interface doesn't accept private ioctl...
addmac (8BF2): Operation not supported

Does anyone know the reason for this? The AP is working fine otherwise.

I am using :
- redhat 8.0, kernel 2.4.20
- latest hostap tarball from CVS
- wireless-tools-25-1
- prism 2 firmware version 1.4.9
