iwconfig error

I got it to work! I recompiled the kernel without PCMCIA, and followed
directions for installing with external PCMCIA. Also, because I am using an
Elan adapter I had to update the /etc/sysconfig/pcmcia file for the changes
mentioned in their website. Hope this saves somebody some time at sometime.
(some time at sometime...nice).
