Hello all!

I noticed some problems with hostap on iPaq running familiar linux.
Changing channel with iwconfig seems to be broken, it doesn't work
in monitor and ad-hoc mode which need manual channel switching.

iwconfig wlan0 mode monitor
iwconfig wlan0 channel 5
Error for wireless request "Set Frequency" (8B04) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Invalid argument.

iwconfig wlan0 mode ad-hoc
iwconfig wlan0 channel 5
Error for wireless request "Set Frequency" (8B04) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Invalid argument.

The same error message appears trying to change using the
freq setting.

Additionally sometimes this happens:

iwconfig wlan0 mode ad-hoc
Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported.

Trying mode changing again, it usually works fine.

Platform: Compaq iPaq 3870
Kernel: familiar 2.4.19-rmk6-pxa1-hh13, familiar 2.4.19-rmk6-pxa1-hh13.1 (with hostap

          v0.0.3)
iwconfig: V 26
Card: Netgear MA701, D-Link DCF-660

Greetings

Florian
