Question of HostAP

Hi all,

I would like to know if the HostAP mode allows user-space program on the station or AP to add new 802.11 Information Element into the Beacon or Assoc frames.
Does it provide the ability for deliver such information up to IP layer?

Is there any 802.11 NIC vendors that allows such feature?

I hope my questions are reasonable. 8-)
