Hi,

I have a debian woody with latest 2.4.20 and Lucent/Orinoco (avaya) 2.4 Ghz card in PCI->PCMCIA
converter handled by cardbus. (like laptop)

I wish to make an access point with linux.

I tried to install HostAP, but is not successfully:

/etc/init.d/pcmcia restart

/var/log/syslog:

So i think my firmware not good, but it now downloaded from agere.com, 1.4-5.x has for everybody
What can i do ?
Where from can i to download good firmware or what kind of wireless card good for me? (vendor & prod)

Best Regards
