Host AP and PCI troubles.

Hi everyone,
I do not know why but when after recompiling the kernel and installing all the 
modules and hostAP, the mopdprobe command gives me a message saying that no 
device was detected. I have done a lspci and it gives me only a "Unknown 
ethernet controller/device". Doing dmesg, it says that no device and no DRIVERs 
were found....shouldn't hostAP be the driver???
I am confused...I am using an Athlon 1.7+ and a PCI wireless card DWL-AG520.
Anybody can help please????
