Your options are to flash station firmware 1.4.9 (s1010409.hex) and/or
load station firmware 1.5.6 (r1010506.hex) every time you load the driver.

Unfortunately, flashable 1.5.6 firmware for your card (that would be
s1010506.hex) has not been spotted in the wild to the best of my
knowledge.

Leave your primary firmware alone.  There are no better versions for your
platform.
