soundcard and hostap wierdness

Hi,

I am a new member of this list, and firstly would like to say thanks for
the excellent drivers, using them with two machines (AP server and client,
plus two laptops with orinoco cards with excellent results).

I am using the current CVS hostap drivers with 2.4.19 (debian, AMD K6) and
a dlink dwl 520. All works VERY well, except when I play mp3s (using
mpg321 or some other player) the network response basicly dies, though
starts up again perfectly as soon as I kill the mp3 playback. The sound
cards and dwl-520 are all on seperate interrupts etc. The machine is used
with X11, (and ethernet until the wireless proved reliable enough to
remove it) all the time no problems, it is only audio playback that
temporarily kills wireless. Any ideas on this? There are two soundcards in
the box but I have been only testing one at a time so far. I have tried
few different downloads of the hostap drivers and moved the cards around
in various slots on the board, PCI BIOS settings etc with no change in
behaviour.

For example running a ping whilst playing an mp3 gives:

64 bytes from 192.168.5.60: icmp_seq=27 ttl=64 time=4.5 ms
64 bytes from 192.168.5.60: icmp_seq=28 ttl=64 time=5.2 ms
wrong data byte #48 should be 0x30 but was 0x32
