Linksys WMP11 - no device found error

HI,
I have compiled the hostap_pci driver with kernel version 2.4.9. when i
run modprobe hostap_pci with Linksys WMP11 card, i get the following
error:
/lib/modules/2.4.9/net/hostap_pci.o : init_module: no such device
/lib/modules/2.4.9/net/hostap_pci.o : insmod
/lib/modules/2.4.9/net/hostap_pci.o failed

I have compiled my kernel with no SMP and no MODVERSIONS.

I went through the mailing list and found that it has been suggested to
run lspci to see if the pci card is being detected or not. here is the
output of lspci on my m/c - it has a matrox vga card and 2 eepro100
cards, so i think 00:09.0 is the WMP11 card -

can someone please help me make the WMP11 card work..
