Well, I included a command that includes even the first record in my
instructions (msg 16-Oct-2002)  ;-).

split_combined_hex does exactly what it is supposed to do, i.e., split
combined hex (not binary) files.. I don't think parsing arbitrary binary
files would be in its scope. I would rather just see this part included
in the instructions on how to get the hex file. In my message, I gave
following command for this:

strings PRISMNDS.sys | grep '^S[0-9]' | split_combined_hex
