Thanks... but :-)
I am trying in repeater mode and couldn't realize how to solve the
problem. First, when I used autom_ap_wds 1, neither the ap or the
repeater "saw" each other.
So I added specified the mac manually in iwpriv wlan0 wds_add, and the
link is shown in /proc/net/hostap/wlan0/wds in both computers (the
example is the master):
ponti:~# cat /proc/net/hostap/wlan0/wds
wlan0wds0 00:05:5d:d6:4b:da
But, there is no link among them, the repeater station show no messages at
all.
The master gives the following messages:
...
handle_ap_item - addr3(BSSID)=00:05:5d:d6:4b:da not own MAC
handle_ap_item - addr3(BSSID)=00:05:5d:d6:4b:da not own MAC
handle_ap_item - addr3(BSSID)=00:05:5d:d6:4b:da not own MAC
handle_ap_item - addr3(BSSID)=00:05:5d:d6:4b:da not own MAC
handle_ap_item - addr3(BSSID)=ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff not own MAC
handle_ap_item - addr3(BSSID)=ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff not own MAC
handle_ap_item - addr3(BSSID)=01:00:5e:00:00:01 not own MAC
handle_ap_item - addr3(BSSID)=ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff not own MAC
handle_ap_item - addr3(BSSID)=ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff not own MAC
handle_ap_item - addr3(BSSID)=ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff not own MAC
handle_ap_item - addr3(BSSID)=ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff not own MAC
handle_ap_item - addr3(BSSID)=01:00:5e:00:00:01 not own MAC
...
As you can see, 00:05:5d:d6:4b:da is the other end of the wds link, but
01:00:5e:00:00:01 is unknown to me. I suppose ff:ff:ff are brodcasts from
the repeater.
The driver version is 2002-10-12, I tried all configuration options but
couldn't find the reason of these messages.
Regards,
