Reasons for reassociation?

Hi,

maybe it's an off-topic, but I want to know what are event(s) or
reason(s) for wireless system management entity to initiate
reassociation procedure with other AP. I couldn't found that explicitly
stated in ieee standard, so maybe someone working with firmware could
explain me how it works or reference to other information source. Thank
you for the help.
