Full kernel debug log output ('dmesg') should show some addition
information. If you did not get any errors before that "could not get
own MAC address", it would mean that the driver was able to read
component versions from the card but for some reason failed to read the
own MAC address RID. Apparently the card was in quite confused state
from this point on and the rest of initialization failed too.
I have seen this happening only once on my test cards (and was unable to
repeat it), so it is a bit difficult to find out the real reason for it.
I would guess that driver is doing something that kills firmware code.
I'm doing some changes to BAP handling (i.e., to use only one BAP) and
that might help also with this kind of problems.
