Paul,
I'd imagine most broadband routers can. Any with a private VPN
option.
Mine is a 3 year old Asus. AX86S as it happens. But any of their routers
running the same software have the same ability. My Mum's Fritzbox can
do it as well.
It is simple to set up as it requires nothing other than the router
running and the VPN set up on it and your client(s). No fees. No
provider. No particular security issues.

There is one caveat however...
You need to know the public IP address your router is on (effectively to
dial home).
If you buy a service from your ISP that provides this already, it is simple.
If you don't then you need to investigate a dynamic DNS solution as well
(A number of these are free) - or buy it from your ISP. Some may not
offer this, some do. Of these most charge a nominal fee, one or two
still don't and you can always negotiate when you sign up.

Which router is that, that has this VPN server option which allows you
to simply "bounce" through it?

If you don't have remote access to your home kit then the only option is
a VPN bought from a provider and this may (or may not) work when you
specify a UK exit point. May not because some VPN providers actually
work with larger content providers to maintain legitimate content access
- where laws require it amongst other reasons.
My router provides a good VPN option so personally I create my own VPN
and bounce off my home router. Cheaper than any other provider (free),
comes from my own ip address for those providers monitoring such and
doesn't require me to have any other IT kit switched on.
If you use bbc.co.uk <http://bbc.co.uk> at all, it also allows you to
see that version of
the website rather than the world version.
Downside is you need to have set it up before you left!
If you do have access to your kit remotely - then just remote in and use
them as normal.
Hope you find a way to get what you need.
