Lyrics : First shown in 2010, when she
was 92, Diana Athill was suddenly a celebrity. Her frank and
entertaining memoirs, mainly written after the age at which most people
retire, chart a life less ordinary. She's had a string of love affairs,
mainly with married, black and/or younger men, enjoyed fifty years of
success as an editor, worked with writers as distinguished as Jean Rhys,
Norman Mailer and VS Naipaul, and led a privileged childhood in a
Norfolk mansion. Recently, she has chosen to go into an old people's
home, where they take people 'who have had interesting lives'. Alan
Yentob meets her to discuss her life, her work - and her outspoken
thoughts on death. / / EPISODE /

I have set my path to ffmpeg in my prefs thus:-
alastair at ibmserver2:~> get_iplayer --prefs-show
Options in '/home/alastair/.get_iplayer/options'
output = /home/alastair/GiP_Recordings
tvmode = dvf
ffmpeg = /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg
I shall have to remind myself about the tvmode option but it is covered
in this list and I am using dash as an act of faith because I understand
other options will fall by the wayside eventually.
I had trouble with ffmpeg from packman and was pointed to another
variant. Trouble is I cannot remember why but here is my version. If
all else fails you could try this:-
alastair at ibmserver2:~> ffmpeg
