Hi and very many thanks.  No I confess I didn't look at durations, 
mainly because the Linn problem had sent me off in another direction.
Now I am back with this issue will do some more work but only downloads 
since 17/1/2017 have been faulty and every one I have tried today has 
had problems.

Of course there could be a broadband problem  sending emails takes over 
10 seconds at present even for a few lines with no attachments.  Being 
in Aberfeldy, which is not too far from A9, I do envy the folk on Skye 
who are so much further away.  Fibre has come to our local exchange but 
we are out of town and too far away to benefit.  We will be 2 km from 
the cubicle when it is installed.  At present I pay for two lines to try 
and get bandwidth.
