No to both questions. Unless and until HLS is fixed, FlashHD is the only
way to get 1280x720 25fps unless you re-encode HVFHD to 25fps. The BBC says
the advantage of 50fps is more fluid motion. I am not competent to say how
fast motion needs to be to benefit from 50fps, but the more fluid motion
also applies to panning. For slow moving images with lots of fine detail,
such as a programme on BBC4 about paintings or architecture, a lower frame
rate and higher resolution is better.
