Thanks. I tried these options in conjunction with --modes=hlsbest, but 
the resulting mp4 files still wouldn't play on this particular piece of 
hardware. Anyway, I also have a Chromecast, and can stream the MP4s from 
the PC via my phone to the TV, which is my usual method anyway.
