Afraid I'm still unclear if what people are reporting at present is two
different issues in two distinct topic threads, or one problem with various
manifestations. As a result I'm still unclear as to any solution to the
problem I'm getting.
This has two aspects.
One is that some attempts to fetch simply 'stall' at 0.0%. But trying the
same command line again works. Seems a lottery. (Is this because there are
two client facing servers, and only one now works?) This problem started a
couple of mornings ago.
The other is the "not a scalar" result which I got for two programmes this
morning (whilst two others were OK). Hadn't seen it here before today.
Will using the (Linux) development version fix these problems I get? Or
some specific added option? Or won't any methods reported here so far deal
with the above?
