Many thanks dinkypumpkin.

Sadly I have an AV issue in Avast, McAfee, TrendMicro-HouseCall, and ZA
(probably false positives?)

Was using this (version 4.8) on windows XP and now on Vista

 Nome: get_iplayer_setup_latest.exe
CRC-32: f502e61b
   MD4: ecbbe882ed2e1264a1f1741340eaad1b
   MD5: 92849109794545646eeef35234ef3130
 SHA-1: 84bbd78a730d9b31bf6134cbd8ea3a505623348e

previously without problem.

But this file (version 4.9)....

 Nome: get_iplayer_setup_latest.exe
CRC-32: ba0feb96
   MD4: 1da42efbf6fce5259c3ed08d0c21da5e
   MD5: f91e2933c0a03f0fe2b5a5baaee1045e
 SHA-1: f329d9fcea7c7766a183372bd3b440eb40701d99

is seen by Zone Alarm as bad news (Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Genome.jrsm)

So I scanned it with virustotal where they show that 9 out of 53 scanners
think it's a naughty file. Including Avast, McAfee and
TrendMicro-HouseCall

This seems strange, as 4.8 was presumably doing much the same and doesn't
trigger the same AV scanners, so why is 4.9 triggering more AV scanners
than 4.8 did?

BTW, I was using GIP 2.86 and was not having a problem as I don't use the
PVR anyway. My only reason for upgrading is that the download by PID is
producing strange filenames. So I thought I would see if 2.9 had fixed
those issues.

I guess I'll either have to turn off Zone Alarm to install or got to the
manual instructions and do some work myself.

Thanks.
David
