Because there's no colon to be found where you expect it?  If I search for

  "^coast.*coast australia"

I find a pair of programmes whose listings start

  Coast - Coast Australia: 1. The Kimberley, BBC Two, ...
  Coast - Coast Australia: 2. Sydney, BBC Two, Audio ...
