PVR Search doesn't find programmes

Running a recent git check-out on Raspberian...

I have a PVR search file as follows:

> metadata xbmc
> modes best
> output /mnt/get_iplayer
> subtitles 1
> thumb 0
> type tv
> versionlist default
> search0 Sewing Bee

Which, when I run with "--pvr-single" it returns 0 programmes.

When I run the same search from a command line with "Sewing Bee" it
returns 2 programmes (as expected).

I've tried everything I can think of to change the PVR search but it
will not find these programmes. I've seen weirdness around PVR
searches for programmes with a colon (:) in the title but have never
been able to nail down the exact cause.

Can anybody else reproduce this issue or does anybody have any ideas?
