BBC Website problems causing difficulties to get_iplayer

The BBC website is in difficulties today.  If you try to visit the
page for a programme, it sometimes shows it to you but more often it
gives you an error message.

This means that get_iplayer is having difficulty updating its list of
available programmes and in downloading them.

The BBC know about the problem and are working on it:

'The BBC press office said it was "aware of an issue which means some
people cannot access certain parts of BBC online ... We are working
