Seen this discussion happen so many times in so many places. I empathise
with your grumpy-ness.
But get_iplayer does *not* exist to facilitate that, and this list does

Agree with this 100% too.
I just hope the mailing list continues to exist and is active. I've been a
long time hater of forums. I'm a lurker on a hundred or more mailing lists
for various community projects, but I visit near zero forums. The overhead
of visiting so many different forums when I already have a passionate
hatred of them just means I'll never go there. So as a result I probably
won't see some of the discussions as they'll happen elsewhere.
