From what I see, nothing at all went wrong there Chris!
Your audio file comes from BBC Scotland (a Nations Station);
this is streamed (as i have only last Monday posted about...) in mp3 format,
rtmpdump
downloads this inside an FLV container. Then MPlayer is used to demux the
raw MP3
stream from the FLV file...
(FFmpeg is also capable of demuxing this, but as I recall from
posts many months ago, some "issues" arise in some Open Source OSes during
this
process... With the abolition of the RealAudio streams - it is very hard to
find one, even in
Radio Archive Pages - and the impracticallity of dumping WMA streams in
real-time, Mplayer
is now almost exclusively used for demuxing those MP3
streams from the "flashaudio" radiomode; perhaps it is now time to review
those
"issues", that is if they persist even with the latest FFmpeg packages, so
as to do away
completely with MPlayer in the next GiP update...)

rtmpdump - Saves Flash audio/video streams to FLV files.
mplayer - Converts FLV files to MP3 format (for BBC regional and local
radio)

and from the link:
https://github.com/dinkypumpkin/get_iplayer/wiki/winsetup

The first time MPlayer runs (i.e., the first time you download a regional or
local radio programme)
after a fresh installation, it will scan the available fonts on your system
and will produce a large volume
of extra output in your console window. This will not affect the programme
download.

Now, if the "fonts scanning" is performed every time MPlayer is called upon
to perform a demux,
then I have no clue why this happens and shall ask for the "infantry" to
step in, i.e. the real experts.
In such a case, you may have to provide more info about your system...

Regards, Vangelis.
