There's already an Ubuntu package repository with recent pretty stable
builds of get_iplayer and its dependencies here:
  ppa:jon-hedgerows/get-iplayer

(just in case someone asks: to install get_iplayer from here do:
  $ sudo apt-add-repository ppa:jon-hedgerows/get-iplayer
  $ sudo apt-get update
  $ sudo apt-get install get-iplayer
)

I've now created another repository with test builds, including for
Precise Pangolin, here:
  ppa:jon-hedgerows/get-iplayer-testing

If you're testing precise, you may also be interested in testing
get_iplayer builds from this ppa. As of writing this, the builds for
ubuntu releases up to oneiric are the same as in
jon-hedgerows/get-iplayer. Builds for precise are the same versions,
but use avconv (part of libav-tools) instead of ffmpeg. A few trivial
checks suggest that this works fine, but feedback from others would be
appreciated.

Sometime before April 26th I will endeavour to put a stable version of
get_iplayer and dependencies into ppa:jon-hedgerows/get-iplayer.

Regards
Jon
