I'm running the same git package ( just updated to test ), all seems to
be working fine (821 programmes found.)
I *think* I needed perl-net-http when I installed way back when.
Here is a list of the perl modules I have installed, although not all of
them are required by get_iplayer.

perl-error 0.17016-2
perl-file-basedir 0.03-4
perl-file-desktopentry 0.04-4
perl-file-listing 6.03-1
perl-file-mimeinfo 0.15-2
perl-html-form 6.00-2
perl-html-parser 3.68-2
perl-html-tagset 3.20-2
perl-http-cookies 6.00-1
perl-http-daemon 6.00-1
perl-http-date 6.00-1
perl-http-message 6.02-1
perl-http-negotiate 6.00-1
perl-http-response-encoding 0.06-2
perl-http-server-simple 0.44-1
perl-libwww 6.03-1
perl-lwp-mediatypes 6.01-1
perl-mp3-info 1.24-2
perl-net-dbus 1.0.0-1
perl-net-http 6.02-1
perl-sub-uplevel 0.22-1
perl-test-warn 0.23-1
perl-text-iconv 1.7-6
perl-tree-dag-node 1.06-2
perl-universal-require 0.13-1
perl-uri 1.59-1
perl-www-mechanize 1.71-1
perl-www-robotrules 6.01-1
perl-xml-parser 2.41-1
perl-xml-simple 2.18-3
perl-xml-twig 3.39-1
Not sure how much more I can help, but good luck.
