If you don't have 2.3 or later, you should update.  I've checked your 
programme with Ubuntu 11.04 (2.3), Ubuntu 11.10 (2.4), and WinXP (2.4), 
and it downloads OK on all.  Tell us what OS you're using and how you 
installed get_iplayer, rtmpdump, etc.
