V2.79 still installs 2.2 rtmpdump.

Download 2.3 rtmpdump and open zip and copy/extract the contents into the
C:\Program Files (x86)\get_iplayer\rtmpdump-2.2d folder (replace C:\ and /
or program files) dependant on your level of windows OS.

Subject: V2.79, FLV/RTMP & .swfinfo

I am running XP pro and I had V2.78 running just fine until a week ago, when
I had to switch to the FLVstreamer method (thanks Zaphod).

I tried deleting C:\Documents and Settings\[USERNAME]\.swfinfo and switching
the options file back to pointing to RTMP. That did not work, so it seems
that simply nuking the .swfinfo occasionally does not help. (I may have
misunderstood the posts that I read and missed out on something that needs
to be done in addition to deleting .swfinfo).

I upgraded to V2.79, making sure that options and .swfinfo were both utterly
deleted before the new install started.

Downloads under V2.79 then failed with the same message as with V2.78.

After the failed download attempt my .swfinfo looked like this:

-----------------------
url: http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/10player.swf
ctim: Thu, 13 Jan 2011 08:09:39 GMT
date: Mon, 26 Apr 2010 18:16:43 GMT
size: 000f926d
hash: c4e8996c5f691a323a3623ed079c726798eb249c95d67a6ff67329d16cb1bc2a
-----------------------

This .swfinfo was either put there by the installer or was downloaded from
the Beeb today on Get_IPlayer's first and only connection.

I have since changed the options file to point back at FLVstreamer, and it
is once more working for me, though with a lot of dropping and re-starting
of downloads (which I understand is a feature of FLVstreamer and why
RTMPdump is preferred - correct me if I'm wrong).

I hope this info is helpful.
