Should I Upgrade to V2.79?

I use get_iPlayer via the Web PVR Manager on Windows 7 to download BBC
Radio programmes.  Currently, it works perfectly.  The only (minor)
problem is that I had to change the recording mode from iphone to
flashaudio a few weeks ago when iphone mode stopped working.

Should I install the new version?

If I do install it, do I need to uninstall the old version first?
