Thanks for this suggestion.

This option doesn't affect the buffer size used by rtmpdump to read
data from the server and stream it to stdout, which is fixed at 64k
no matter what value is set for --buffer.  The --buffer setting is
sent by rtmpdump to the flash server and has some effect on how the
server does buffering at its end.
