I can answer to this by myself ;-)

The issue is to write skipping the fisrt 1024 of the sdcard (bs=512 
skip=2 and skipping the first 1k from the image itself [seek=2])

dd if=barebox-flash-image of=/dev/sdk bs=512 seek=2 skip=2

works fine.
