Can't connect to university network using WPA 2 Enterprise, PEAP, MSCHAPv2

Hello,
I cannot connect to my university network, which uses WPA 2
Enterprise, PEAP and MSCHAPv2 with a certificate. I can see the
network though. It tries to connect, then after some minutes wants me
to enter my authentification data again, but that is correct.
I have the newest ubuntu version, but not the newest kernel. That
means I encounter these DMA errors. Do I really need to wait for the
newest kernel for ubuntu or is this independent?
