wifi direct support in ath6kl

Hi,

I have a silex SX SDCAN module. I checked the ath6kl code there seems to be support available for p2p so tried backporting the wifi driver from 3.10.9 to 3.0.35 (Iam using linux kernel version 3.0.35). 
Now my question is whether by doing will ath6kl support p2p? If not, then what is the way forward?
