basic help request

Hoping that I can possibly get a pointer on what I¹m doing wrong w/ ath10k
and hostapd.

I¹m running a 3.14 kernel and installed the 3.15-rc-1 backports. I can
start hostapd, but no matter what I do, I can¹t see the SSID. I have also
just tried to use N by itself.

I am using a WLE900V5-23 card.

The things that I¹ve noticed so far is that I am unable to use the v2
firmware ­ additionally, even w/ the v1 firmware, I get a:

ath10k: Invalid firmware magic


Also, iw doesn¹t seem to report everything :
