[PATCH 0/3] bug fixes for master

Sadly I recently discovered some pretty high impact issues in the new master
branch, related to shell_ini_config and bisectability, as well as support for
yes and no in booleans.

I have put these based on master, and will likely push them soon, but I figured
I should post for review as well. I will push them directly to master, and then
merge devel so that it contains the fixes.
